Monitoring Process Health

Statistical Process Control (SPC) allows us to listen to the voice of the process. I implement control charts to distinguish between common cause variation (inherent to the process) and special cause variation (actionable events).

By maintaining processes in a state of statistical control, we ensure predictability and minimize the production of non-conforming parts. For control chart selection and formulas, I reference the NIST/SEMATECH e-Handbook on process monitoring.
