Calhoun, Georgia

Quality engineer turned builder.

I spent thirteen years making factories measure what actually matters. Now I build software the same way. Ten arcade games live on Google Play, fifteen client sites in production, and an AI receptionist answering real calls for local businesses. One engineer, full stack, measured end to end.

Shipped, not prototyped

Everything here is in production and you can open it right now.

No mockups, no case-study screenshots of things that never launched. Every link below goes to something a stranger can download, visit, or phone.

Live Google Play

Wireframe Arcade

Ten neon-vector arcade games, all published and at full rollout on Google Play. They share one HTML5 Canvas engine, so a fix in the engine ships to all ten. The interesting part is not the games, it is the machinery: an adaptive quality system that benchmarks each device on first launch and holds a steady frame rate on hardware that would otherwise stutter, plus a 748-gate automated suite that has to pass before anything ships.

Live forgedev.studio

Forge Development Studio

A studio that builds websites and AI phone receptionists for local businesses that take bookings. The receptionist answers on a real number, holds a real conversation, captures the job details and writes them into the client's CRM. I built the voice agents, the booking integrations, the billing, and the sites they sit on.

Live 15 domains

Client sites in production

Fifteen small-business sites I designed, built and shipped, each on its own domain with its own SEO and structured data. A bilingual site for a painting crew, a land surveyor, a storm-damage roofer, a landscaper, a vein clinic, a barbershop, a car dealer.

The through-line

Thirteen years of asking whether the measurement is telling the truth.

Manufacturing quality teaches one habit above all others: a number that looks right is not the same as a number that is right. Most of the job is proving the instrument before trusting the reading.

Software has the same disease and fewer antibodies. Three times it caught something no test did.

01 · The probe is the bug

A benchmark read one frame in five

On the arcade suite, a device benchmark was measuring a fifth of the frames it thought it was, so every phone graded as faster than it really was. The games ran fine on my hardware and stuttered on a Pixel. Nothing was wrong with the games. The measurement was wrong, and it had been wrong the whole time.

02 · Green tests are a hypothesis

A counter banked 126 coins nobody collected

The coin counter reported a full run's haul in a run where the player never touched a control. Hundreds of passing gates never saw it, because the number it printed was plausible. The fix was to read the value at the exact instant the run starts, where the correct answer is provably zero.

03 · Shipped is the only done

A feature can ship and still be invisible

A progress strip once shipped with zero of its 49 pixels visible, painted over by a sticky nav on every modern phone. A page that only resolves over HTTP has not shipped either. I check the built artifact and the live URL, because an exit code of zero only tells you the build ran.

Career

Where the habit came from.

Thirteen years across flooring, rugs, solar and clean energy, mostly spent making quality data trustworthy enough to act on. The longer version of the story explains how it turned into building software.

2024 – Present

Quality Control Engineer

Clean Energy Associates · Remote, nationwide

  • Run pre-shipment inspections for solar module manufacturers as the primary quality representative for utility-scale clients.
  • Built Power BI dashboards aggregating audit data across 15+ factories for real-time trend and corrective-action tracking.
  • Designed AQL sampling protocols to customer specification, cutting on-site audit time by about 20% without loosening the plan.
  • Perform electroluminescence imaging analysis and IEC compliance verification on photovoltaic modules.

Dec 2023 – Oct 2024

Quality Engineer

Qcells North America · Cartersville, GA

  • Supported the ISO 9001 certification effort through SOP drafting, revision control and documentation cleanup.
  • Kept QMS documents matched to what the floor actually did, rather than to what the binder said.
  • Analysed recurring nonconformances to support CAPA activity; tracked compliance metrics in Excel.
  • Built risk-tied AQL sampling plans so inspection outputs were consistent and defensible under customer audit.

May 2023 – Dec 2023

Quality Data Analyst & QC Supervisor

Loloi Rugs · Cartersville, GA

  • Automated the leadership quality dashboards, cutting reporting turnaround roughly in half by consolidating disconnected workbooks into one structured source.
  • Identified an inspection flow constraint and justified a second inspection table, increasing throughput by over 50%.
  • Ran a 10-person inspection team: training, daily assignments, timekeeping.

Mar 2013 – Jun 2023

Quality Administrator & QC Inspector

Stanton Carpet Corporation · Calhoun, GA

  • Investigated customer quality claims end to end, coordinating third-party lab testing and tracing lots through SAP WMS.
  • Built Power BI dashboards tracking claim trends, defect types and recurring issues for leadership.
  • Cut credit-versus-sales reporting from over eight hours to about two by restructuring the data logic and sources.

Questions

The things people ask first.

What do you actually do?

I am a quality engineer and software builder in Calhoun, Georgia. Thirteen years in manufacturing quality across carpet, rugs and solar, and now software: ten arcade games published to Google Play, fifteen client websites in production, and an AI phone receptionist for local businesses.

Are you available for hire?

Yes. Open to quality engineering and data roles, software engineering work, and consulting, remote or in Georgia. Use the form below or email me directly. I reply within one business day.

What certifications do you hold?

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (2025), Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst (2025), and the Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate. Day to day that means ISO 9001, SPC, CAPA, FMEA, Gage R&R, AQL sampling and process capability. The full practice is written up here.

What have you actually shipped?

Ten arcade games live on Google Play at full rollout, sharing one engine guarded by 748 automated gates. Fifteen small-business sites live on their own domains. And Forge, which builds sites and AI receptionists that answer real calls and write the job into the client's CRM.

Are the quality calculators free?

Yes. AQL sampling, Cpk, Gage R&R, control limits, sigma level, FMEA RPN and OC curve, all running entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, there is no sign-up, and there is no charge. Open the calculators.

Why does a quality engineer build software?

Because they are the same job. Manufacturing quality is the discipline of proving the instrument before trusting the reading, and software will happily report success while doing nothing at all. The longer answer is on the about page.
